The ever fabulous Carley Smith debuted the above-titled work at Fifty Fifty a few weeks ago. Excellent work, C!
Last Tuesday a dear friend of mine, Natalie Lauchlan, came in to do a talk and mini workshop in my Experimental Fibre class at Studio C. My students were thrilled with the process and medium! Below you can see all the awesome work they created in only two hours. I couldn’t believe how intuitive they were working with the wool! You’ll notice a few standouts in particular: a guitar, a batman logo, and even Smurfette, yes – thats correct, a freeking Smurfette! Brilliant artists I tell ya..That one makes me laugh. Although, the colorful abstract pieces are equally delightful. I’m so proud and excited for my students and their new skill! Nat will hopefully be joining us again this session with more experimental fibre techniques. Here she is below being a total natural at teaching and capturing everyone’s attention. Please excuse the low-quality images taken with my phone, as usual.
