I always feel an unapologetic draw to the totems of minimalism, Tony Smith, being no exception.

I could not remember this artists name after randomly encountering her work in an art mag at school years ago… Luckily, I came into the work again accidentally today. great stuff.
terrific name. neat work too. Phyllidia has been a recent discovery for me.
Shout out to my girl SARAH! I miss witnessing this girl single-handedly obliterate an entire domestic space with her signature mark-making… For me, this stuff lies in some delectably murky territory between absurdist theatre and abstract expressionist painting. Strange affirmations laden with text cut thru with razor sharp delineations of color. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.. I really really really want to wear everything SvS makes as prints on garments. I will never cease to be taken in by the dopey and monotonous yet eerily relatable and confused dialogues in the drawings which always teeter on being freakishly dark yet familiar and charming all at once. Damn I love yo shit, Sarah!
Terrific work! See all here
